In order to help serve and strengthen the Andover community, the Beacon strives to provide a forum for civil, reasoned expressions of opinion. Therefore, we welcome your Letters To The Editor.

The Andover Beacon's Policy on
Letters To The Editor

We ask writers to respect these rules:

1. Opinions must be addressed to the people of Andover, not to any individual or group, and must be no longer than 200 words.

2. You must include your name, address, and telephone number. Please include your e-mail address if you have one. Only your name (and city/state if you're not an Andover resident) will be published. The rest will be used to contact you in case there's a problem.

3. Please provide an affiliation (business, club, committee, etc.) if it's relevant to the topic.

4. The Beacon will not publish form letters and other "canned" opinions.

5. Letters must not be critical of another's religion; blasphemous; obscene; hateful; legally objectionable; or commerical in nature.
